A graduate of Rabindra Bharati University (BVA 1992, MVA 1994) and a founding member of the collective Antivirus, Dibakar has shown at Jehangir Art Gallery, the Nehru Centre Mumbai and the Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata.

Dibakar Karmakar

Dibakar is a Kolkata-based artist whose practice spans over two decades, marked by a thoughtful engagement with contemporary Indian visual language. A graduate of Rabindra Bharati University, where he completed both his B.V.A. (1992) and M.V.A. (1994) in Fine Arts, Dibakar has steadily built a reputation through a series of solo and group exhibitions across India.

His solo shows at Jehangir Art Gallery and Nehru Centre, Mumbai, as well as the Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata, reflect his strong national presence. His work has been featured in prominent group exhibitions, including the National Exhibition of Art by Lalit Kala Akademi in Delhi and Jaipur. A founding member of the artist collective Antivirus (est. 2011), Dibakar’s works are part of numerous private collections in India and internationally.
