Snehashish Maity

Snehashish Maity (b. 1970) is a Kolkata-based artist known for his photorealistic figurative works in oils and acrylics, often featuring quirky self-expressions. A graduate of the Government College of Art and Craft, Kolkata, and an MFA from MSU Baroda, Maity also explores prints and mixed media. His notable solo show Self was held in 2001 in Kolkata, alongside group exhibitions across India, London, and Vancouver. He has received several accolades, including a Junior Research Fellowship from the Government of India and awards from the Bombay Art Society and Rajasthan Lalit Kala Akademi.
