Know about the artwork

An abstract acrylic on canvas by B.R. Panesar. Panesar's compositions are quiet and finely balanced — muted colour and subtle tonal gradation rather than bold contrast, the kind of restraint that comes from a very deliberate eye.

Born in 1927, Panesar came to painting after degrees in economics and statistics, and has been a member of the Society of Contemporary Artists, Kolkata, since 1974.

Original acrylic on canvas · 29 × 25 inches · 2007 · one of one, with certificate of authenticity.
