B. R. Panesar

B.R. Panesar was born in 1927. Having completed his Masters in Economics and having secured his post-graduate diploma in Statistics from Indian Statistical Institution, he took up the brush. Member of the Society of Contemporary Artists, Kolkata, since 1974, he has received seven awards. His abstract harmonious compositions are well balanced; while the colours are muted, the tonal gradations maintain a subtle uniformity and accentuate the overall impact of the work. Panesar has held exhibitions in India and abroad. His works may be found in the collections of the Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi, Birla Academy of Art and Culture, Kolkata, and Government Museum, Chandigarh ...
