'Algemeshs Day' — a watercolour on paper by Katayun Saklat. Best known as one of India's foremost stained glass artists, Saklat brings a colourist's eye to watercolour, where light and hue carry the work.

Born in Kolkata in 1938, Saklat trained at the Sir J.J. School of Art and under Patrick Reyntiens in the UK, and founded Gallery Katayun in Kolkata.

Katayun Saklat

Born in 1938 in Kolkata, Katayun Saklat is a renowned stained glass artist. Educated at Sir JJ School of Art and the Government College of Art and Craft, she further trained under Patrick Reyntiens in the UK. Saklat founded 'Gallery Katayun' in Kolkata and is celebrated for her stained glass creations displayed in various public and private collections
